Dreamville Records signee, J.I.D, took to social media to update fans on a forthcoming release. The announcement comes amidst the rapper and label mates Earthgang’s tour, featuring Chaz French and Lute. Despite traveling across the nation, J.I.D managed to create multiple tracks while on the road.

J.I.D posted pictures of himself on Instagram working, captioning the photo, “Got a chance to record a bunch of songs on the road that I can’t for you guys to have. Got a special one coming really soon, you ready?  3/x/2018,” he wrote.

J.I.D hasn’t revealed how often he gets a break from performing, however, in an interview with Complex he mentions that his peace is essential to his creative process.

“I have to have to have a space where I don’t have to think about you, I don’t have to think about anybody, I don’t have to think about myself,” he told Complex. “I can let the experience flow. I need that type of solitude.”

Some of the new material to be expected from J.I.D includes collaborations with other hip-hop artists such as rapper Pouya, who teased fans with new music from the pair in January.

Although J.I.D hasn’t released a full body of work since debuting his album “The Never Story” last March, he has been actively delivering treats to his fans. On Feb. 7, the “Never” rapper released the long-awaited video for his 90s kid nostalgic track, “EdEddnEddy.”

The content J.I.D has recently released isn’t limited to music videos, he has also been documenting his tour, releasing the footage as episode installments on SpillageVillage.com.  Much of the footage features J.I.D in the studio preparing tracks.

The rapper won’t be slowing down anytime soon, with performances booked up until the summer, including appearances on the Rolling Loud Festival lineup, the music community can anticipate a lot of moves by the Dreamville artist.
