The 33rd annual Grand Illumination Parade and 4th annual Norfolk Harbor 5k and Half Marathon will showcase the mermaid city on Saturday and Sunday.

Residents and visitors should pay special attention to No Parking/No Stopping signs along the race and parade routes. Signs posted at the beginning and end of each block apply to the entire block.   There will be some traffic delays during the races, so plan ahead.

During the Norfolk Harbor 5K/Half Marathon, streets on the routes will be closed and reopened when the last runner passes.  Norfolk Police will provide traffic support during the races and allow access anytime it is safe to do so.  Race courses are posted at www.norfolk.gov/holidays.

Norfolk Police will begin to close streets on and adjacent to the Grand Illumination Parade beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 18th.   For a map of the parade route, go towww.norfolk.gov/holidays.
