Police chief: 2 bodies found in Fairfax park linked to gangs

FALLS CHURCH, Va. (AP) — Two bodies found in a Fairfax County park are the result of gang activity that the county’s police chief says is “getting out of control.”

County police say two sets of remains were found late Thursday night in Holmes Run Park in the Falls Church section of the county.

Two years ago, two other bodies were also found in that park, the result of gang slayings.

At a press conference Thursday, county police Chief Edwin Roessler said the bodies found Thursday are also the result of gang violence.

He declined to say, though, whether the deaths are related to the recent arrests of 16 people in the slayings of two people, including a 15-year-old girl, linked to the MS-13 street gang.
