NORFOLK, Va. – Norfolk State University and the Norfolk Tides will play their seventh baseball exhibition game in the last eight years on Tuesday, April 4 at 5:30 p.m. at Harbor Park. Gates will open at 4:30 p.m. for the seven-inning game.
All advance tickets must be purchased through NSU. Tickets will be available at the NSU Ticket Center on campus or the athletics office in Joseph Echols Hall beginning Monday, Feb. 27. Tickets will also be on sale at the home NSU baseball games beginning Wednesday vs. North Carolina A&T. All seats are general admission, with prices of $7 for adults and $5 for groups of 20 or more. All ticket proceeds from the contest benefit the NSU baseball program.
Fans can purchase tickets the day of the game at the Harbor Park ticket office.
Jim Squires, CEO of Norfolk Southern, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
The previous six contests between NSU and the Tides drew 44,289 fans to Harbor Park, an average of 7,381 per game.
The Tides will play their first game of their 25th year at Harbor Park on Friday, March 31 in an Exhibition Game against the Baltimore Orioles. The Tides then open their regular season on Thursday, April 6 with a 7:05 contest at Charlotte, before kicking off the home portion of the schedule on Monday, April 10 with a 6:35 game vs. Gwinnett.
