Former Spartan Beslow signs to play professionally in Australia

NORFOLK, Va. – Former Norfolk State women’s basketball standout Siobhan Beslow has signed a contract to play professionally in Australia.

Beslow, a 5-11 forward, will leave the United States later this month and begin playing for the Mildura Lady Heat next month. The club is based in Victoria.

Beslow played one season at NSU as a graduate student in 2015-16 after a four-year stint which included a redshirt season at La Salle. Beslow led NSU with 10.7 points, 9.0 rebounds, 1.5 blocks and 1.4 steals per game last year. She led the MEAC in rebounding and double-doubles (11) and was second in field-goal percentage (52.2).
