Former NSU Spartan Clifton Lassiter passes away, leaves lasting legacy

Clifton Lassiter, a former Norfolk State student passed away on Feb. 1 in Savannah, Georgia. Clifton battled leukemia prior to his passing.  On campus, Clifton was a popular student with a passion for sports and modeling.

Whether giving a word of advice or working on his own passions, Clifton was a great friend and an inspiration to many.  Those who knew him most knew that Clifton was also a pastor-elect and referred to as a prophet.

A memorial service for Clifton will be held at Menchville High School in Newport News on Feb. 12 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00p.m.  A homegoing celebration will be on Feb. 13 at Restoration and Faith Ministries, 2114 Wickham, Ave. Newport News, Virginia.
