The Norfolk State athletics department will host the Spartan Basketball Fan Fest in conjunction with Alumni Day on Saturday, Feb. 13 outside Joseph Echols Hall prior to the NSU-Morgan State basketball doubleheader. Oreiginally posted on NSUSpartans.com.

NORFOLK, Va. – The Norfolk State athletics department will host the Spartan Basketball Fan Fest in conjunction with Alumni Day on Saturday, Feb. 13 outside Joseph Echols Hall prior to the NSU-Morgan State basketball doubleheader.
 
Performances by the alumni band and alumni cheerleaders will be accompanied by music, food and vendors outside the front entrance of Echols Hall, weather permitting. The fan fest will run from noon-3:30 p.m. Tip-off time of the women’s game is set for 4 p.m., with the men’s contest taking place 30 minutes after the conclusion of the women’s game.
 
There will also be limited tailgating and vendor spots outside Echols Hall, which will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. For prices and to reserve a space, contact Melody Webb at (757) 823-8404.
 
The day will serve as Winter Homecoming across the campus and will include an NSU Alumni Day brunch, an NSUAA mix and mingle, and previews and first views of the NSU Fitness Center and Brown Memorial Hall, among other events. In addition, the first 750 fans in NSU gear who enter Joseph Echols when doors open at 3 p.m. will receive a free Kyle O’Quinn bobblehead doll with their game ticket. There is a limit of one doll per person.
 
There will be no fan parking in front of Echols Hall during the entire day on Feb. 13.
