Ex-pastor sentenced for taping women while they were nude

NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — A former Norfolk pastor is going to prison for secretly videotaping another clergyman’s wife and daughter while they were naked.

The Virginian-Pilot reports (http://bit.ly/1OKHTHj ) that 45-year-old Michael Rodney Jones was sentenced Friday, Jan 22, to two years for taking nude video without the subject’s consent. A judge suspended a three-year sentence for burglary. Jones pleaded guilty in July.

In court papers, Jones said he was pastor at Norfolk Apostolic Church in December 2014 when he entered a house and installed a camera in the main bathroom. The camera captured nude images of the homeowner’s wife and 19-year-old daughter. Four months later, he entered again and installed two more cameras in the daughter’s bedroom.

Surveillance video at the home captured footage of Jones entering through the back door.
