NORFOLK, Va. – The Norfolk State women’s basketball program in partnership with the NSU Women’s Economic Development Center and NSU Career Services will hold an empowerment fundraising event featuring actress Edwina Findley-Dickerson on Sunday, Nov. 22.
The event will take place at 4 p.m. on the second floor of the Scott-Dozier Ballroom on the Norfolk State campus. It will feature a panel of individuals, including Findley-Dickerson, who will discuss strategies to accomplish career goals, both for students and professionals.
Cost is $15 for general admission or $5 for students with a valid ID. General admission tickets can be purchased at the NSU Ticket Office or online at www.nsuspartanstickets.com. Student tickets can be purchased in-person at the ticket office but not online. Both tickets are also being sold at the NSU women’s basketball offices located in Joseph Echols Hall.

Findley-Dickerson has played Kelly Issacs on the Tyler Perry TV series “If Loving You is Wrong” for the past two years. She has also appeared in several films, including “Get Hard,” “Insidious: Chapter 2,” “Middle of Nowhere” and “Red Tails,” and made guest appearances on such TV shows as “Law & Order,” “Brothers & Sisters,” “Treme,” “The Wire” and “One Life to Live.”
