Va. Beach man pleads guilty to federal drug charges

NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — A 32-year-old Virginia Beach man has pleaded guilty to manufacturing marijuana and maintaining drug-involved premises.

Alonzo Diangelo Bell made the plea in federal court in Norfolk on Thursday.

Court documents say police found more than 1,800 grams of marijuana in one of Bell’s storage units. In another storage unit, police found 30 mature marijuana plants, a carbon dioxide generator and grow lights.

Court records say latent fingerprints belonging to Bell were found on various items in both units.

Bell faces maximum penalty of 30 years in prison at sentencing.
