CHESTERFIELD, Va. (AP) — A Richmond man has been charged with killing a woman who disappeared in 2012.
Chesterfield County police tell multiple media outlets that 54-year-old Michael Anthony Edwards was indicted on Wednesday by a multijurisdictional grand jury. Police arrested Edwards on Thursday.
Edwards is accused of killing Leyla Namiranian, an Altria employee who has been missing since April 2012. Namiranian’s body has not been found.
It wasn’t immediately clear whether Edwards had retained an attorney to comment on the charges.
