JOHANNESBURG (AP) — A stuntwoman who was working on the next movie in the “Resident Evil” series is being treated for multiple injuries following a motorcycle accident during a stunt sequence near Johannesburg.
Olivia Jackson was injured in her face, head, shoulder and left hand and arm in the Sept. 5 accident and is in stable condition, Constantin Film said in a statement Friday.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with Olivia and her family during her recovery process,” said the film production and distribution company, which is based in Munich, Germany.
Jackson had been performing for “Resident Evil: The Final Chapter,” an action film starring Milla Jovovich. She also performed stunts for the movies “Mad Max: Fury Road” and “Avengers: Age of Ultron.”
“Most excited I’ve been about a film I’ve worked on ever. Beautiful memories, the best people,” Jackson wrote on Facebook ahead of a May screening of the Mad Max movie.
