NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — A Norfolk police officer has been taken to a hospital with minor injuries after crashing into a concrete barrier.
Police say the crash happened Monday morning while the officer was searching for a stolen vehicle. Police say the officer did not see the barrier, which was in a parking lot off of Colley Avenue.
Police say there were no other vehicles or people involved in the crash. The patrol car received minor damage.
Police say the suspected stolen vehicle was not found. Police have not released the name of the officer involved.
