NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — Two Norfolk police officers have been indicted by a grand jury on charges that they embezzled from the International Brotherhood of Police.
The Norfolk Police Department said in a statement Wednesday that the officers involved are Randolph Brann and Jacob Wright. Both officers face four counts of embezzling more than $200 and have been placed on administrative duty.
Court records do not indicate whether the men have an attorney. A message left with police seeking comment from the officers about the charges was not immediately returned.
The indictments say the embezzlements occurred from 2011 to 2014. Each officer has worked for the department for seven years.
Virginia State Police led the investigation.
