NORFOLK, Va. – The Norfolk State Athletics Department announced today that it will offer video streaming packages for football and volleyball for the 2015 season. All home games during the upcoming year will be streamed live on the department’s website through the www.nsuspartans.com/watch URL.
Cost of the live video feed for football is $8 per game or $25 for a season pass. The season pass includes a savings of $7 off the collective game-by-game cost.
The live video stream for volleyball for all seven home matches goes for $5 for a single match or $30 for a season pass. The season pass includes a savings of $5 off the collective match-by-match cost.
Sidearm Sports, the host of NSU’s athletics website, has also announced new features to its video streaming services beginning this year. Each broadcast will now have a desktop DVR function, allowing fans to pause, rewind and fast forward at their convenience within the live event.
In addition, each contest will automatically be available in the on-demand video section immediately after the conclusion of the event.
The games will be available through the Spartan Showcase Video Streaming link, which can be found on the front page of the athletics website or either sport’s home page under the Multimedia tab at the top. The link can also be found among the social ads in the top right above the website’s main navigation, or in the Spartans All-Access ad to the right of the main story pictures.
In addition, the video stream for the football games will also carry the live feed from the NSU Sports Network radio broadcast, which can also be heard on Star 1310 AM and Hot 91.1 FM throughout the entire 2015 football season.
Along with desktop and laptop computers, the Spartan Showcase Video Streaming webpage is also accessible via all Android and Apple tablets and smartphones. Fans can now watch any live or on-demand Norfolk State athletics event while on-the-go.
Subscribers must create a username and password prior to making a purchase. Fans who purchase game-day passes must buy them the day of the actual contest
