NORFOLK, Va. – Senior Liz Riley of the Norfolk State softball team was named the MEAC Pitcher of the Week on Monday afternoon when the conference office announced its weekly softball honors.
Riley, who hails from Virginia Beach, Va., allowed just one unearned run in 14 innings in a pair of complete game victories over Coppin State last week. She allowed five hits and struck out 12 in helping NSU sweep the Eagles in a three-game series.
