NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — Navy aircraft will be busy over lower Chesapeake Bay during a search and rescue exercise with the Coast Guard.
The exercise Wednesday will include five Navy helicopters and two Hawkeye turboprop aircraft from Naval Station Norfolk.
The exercise is intended to sharpen the skills of Navy helicopter crews and to promote coordination between military units and local trauma centers.
Norfolk residents are likely to see increased helicopter activity in the skies above Sentara Norfolk General Hospital Wednesday afternoon.
