2 teens arrested in connection with Ashburn fatal stabbing

ASHBURN, Va. (AP) — Authorities say two teens have been arrested in connection with a fatal stabbing in northern Virginia last week.

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office did not release the names of the 16-and-17-year olds suspected in the stabbing of 22-year-old Guillermo Piedra-Espinoza.

The sheriff’s office said Piedra-Espinoza was found dead in the woods near an apartment complex on Nov. 4. It says a 19-year-old man was also stabbed and treated for serious injuries that were not life threatening.

The sheriff’s office says the 17-year-old from Ashburn was arrested in New York on Wednesday. The 16-year-old from Herndon was arrested Thursday and is being held in Fairfax County on an unrelated charge.

Authorities say it appears that the teens targeted the victims. They say they cannot release their names because they are juveniles.
