DOSWELL, Va. (AP) — Officials say a power outage led them to shut down Kings Dominion theme park early over the weekend.
Multiple news outlets report Kings Dominion released a statement saying the park had a partial power outrage around 8 p.m. Saturday. As a result, all rides were stopped and safely evacuated.
Some customers told news outlets that they were stuck on rides after the power outage.
The park remained closed for the rest of the evening. Power has since been restored and the park reopened Sunday.
The theme park says tickets that were dated for Saturday will be honored through July 31.
