SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — A decorated Iraq War veteran charged in the deaths of his estranged wife’s mother, stepfather and brother has been charged with three counts of premeditated first-degree murder with aggravating circumstances.
Spokane County prosecutor Larry Haskell says the charges mean 30-year-old Roy H. Murry might face the death penalty.
Murry did not enter a plea during his first court appearance on Tuesday.
Spokane County District Court Judge Vance Peterson set bail of $3 million, which defense attorneys did not contest.
Murry remains in the Spokane County Jail.
