NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — Norfolk International Airport is reporting a decrease in passenger activity for April.
The airport says it experienced a more than 5 percent drop in the number of passengers who used the airport in April compared with the same month the previous year.
Overall, about 242,000 passengers flew through the airport. Since January, passenger traffic has decreased nearly 6 percent from the previous year.
The airport says it also experienced a slight increase in cargo shipped in and out of the airport in April compared with the same month in 2014. About 4.9 million pounds of cargo were shipped out of the airport during April.
