NORFOLK, Va. – A pair of Norfolk State men’s tennis seniors were honored by the MEAC on Wednesday evening when the conference office announced the 2015 postseason awards. Daniel Grauel and Pascal Domnik were voted to the All-MEAC second team.
It marked the second honor for Grauel during his four-year career after being named to the second team last year. For the fourth time in five years, NSU had at least two men’s players named all-conference.
Grauel had the best conference record in singles this year among NSU players at 3-1. He also finished 9-10 overall. In addition, he went undefeated in doubles in the MEAC at 4-0, part of an overall 9-5 mark on the year. He was named the MEAC Player of the Week on April 1 during the midst of a five-match win streak in singles. The Munich, Germany also ended the year by winning his last eight doubles matches.

Then as NSU’s No. 1 player this season, the Balingen, Germany native posted an 11-7 overall record and a 3-2 mark in conference play. He began the year with five straight wins over a pair of ranked squads in VCU and East Carolina. He was also named the MEAC Player of the Week on April 9.
