NORFOLK, Va. – Because of ongoing work on the NSU Tennis Complex, several changes have been made to the upcoming Norfolk State tennis schedule.
Friday’s MEAC matchup against North Carolina A&T for both the men’s and women’s teams will now be played at Centre Court Racquet Club in Newport News. The start time is set for 1 p.m.
In addition, Monday’s contests against Chowan for both teams will now be played at Virginia Wesleyan’s Everett Tennis Center, with the same 3 p.m. start time. The women’s team has also added a match at Old Dominion to the schedule for Saturday beginning at 1 p.m.
Friday’s showdown with the Aggies will mark NSU’s last MEAC contests of the regular season. A win would secure a spot in the MEAC tournament for the men, while a victory for the women would inch NSU closer to a tournament berth, depending on the result of Monday’s N.C. A&T-NCCU match.
The NSU women’s team has home matchups scheduled against North Carolina Wesleyan on April 9 and Virginia State on April 10. The Spartan men also have a match set against Longwood at home on April 11. Location changes and any alterations to the starting times for those contests will be announced at a later date.
